The best advice I’ve ever received was from my parents, who emphasized the importance of kindness towards others and the value of perseverance and hard work. This advice and their unwavering support for me have made a tremendous impact on my life.

In my opinion, every leader should possess humility, decisiveness, and the ability to inspire and connect with others.

Patience, self-confidence, and a belief in my mission help me navigate through stressors and maintain focus on achieving goals. I prioritize my mental and physical health through meditation, spending time with friends, and allowing myself personal time. I also cultivate resilience by being comfortable with failure, learning from it, and embracing challenges as opportunities for growth.
How do you ensure continuous growth as a leader?
I engage in various practices such as reading books and articles on leadership, attending courses at business schools, investing in executive coaching, daily self-reflection and journaling, seeking feedback from my team and direct reports, and consistently aiming to improve my listening skills.

One thing I wish I knew earlier in my career is that success isn’t solely about mastering skills; it’s equally about building relationships and connecting with others. It’s the “x-factor” that sets one apart.

During my formative teenage years, The Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged and all of Rand’s work on Objectivism had a profound influence on me. I’ve since come to a more nuanced and, in some ways, critical view of the philosophy, but it significantly impacted my thinking as an aspiring entrepreneur.

The best advice I have ever received was Instead of focusing on deep expertise around a particular job function, your goal should be to always develop broad expertise across the critical aspects of the business you are leading.

I believe every leader should have the strength to take risks, learn from failure, deal with remarks, insults or stereotypes, and the courage to fight for what they believe in and to never give up, no matter how hard a challenge is.

I manage stress by managing my time, I ensure I make time for myself and what’s personally important to me. I find alone time to reflect, meditate and refresh.
